=) enjoyed the workshop i had tonite... it's really OUt Of thE Box, thks Yiling for introducing such a new, alternative Movement Workshop =) Move in a New Dimension... creating "art" and finding fun in exploring + communicating wif our bodies !
The Teacher-Instructor is Takao Kawaguchi... and he is sharing a type of movement which uses all parts of the body.
The Body can do so much ! During the workshop, we learnt more abt Body Awareness, moving wif "limitations" (constraints), some bits of dance and whilst learning how to move-dance-explore our bodies... he taught us to 'outlined' our bodies and move around wif a STRING ! =)

SYNOPSIS
Takao Kawaguchi was trained in pantomime-based movement theatre, and took part in a wide range of projects from text-based theatre to performance art and dance. From 1991 to 1995, he formed his own dance group ATA Dance to produce experimental dance works. He joined the multi-media performance company Dumb Type in 1996 and since then has appeared in OR, memorandum and Voyage. He has also been active in his independent solo projects in which he collaborate with sound and visual artists who uniquely combine and synchronize the elements of light and sound with dance and movement. These include Night Colour (2001), Di Que No Ves (Say You Don’t See) (2003), D.D.D. (2004), tablemind (2006) and Good Luck (2008).
In this workshop, Takao will share some of his work methods and exercises with participants.
For participants 16 years and above only. Participants must have some dance or physical theatre experience. Wear loose comfortable clothings
